Lehrinhalte/Gliederung

This course will examine how culture affects globalisation.  Focus will be on concepts of globalisation, culture, and identity, and include an exploration on communities of belonging.  Through cultural practices and expressions, new cultural identities and power relations are being negotiated. At the same time, the flow of cultural commodities, as well as international mobilities of people through immigration and studying abroad influence borders. This course looks at the practices that enable cultural forms and flows in the context of globalisation.
