Qualifikationsziele

Students are introduced to the most recent developments in the areas of Digital Finance and Sustainable Finance.

In the area of Sustainable Finance, students are familiarised with the need and the framework for Sustainable Finance, with a specific focus on the European framework. This includes the conditions and legal requirements for the issuance of „sustainable“ financing, as well as the management of sustainability risks, certification and sustainability ratings and CSR-reporting.

Digital Finance refers to the impact of new technologies on finance functions and finance activities and resulting new forms of financing. Students will learn about the functioning and application areas of digital securities, coins and tokens, inter alia, as well as the underlying regulatory framework in Germany. Use cases for Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) in finance are developed and students learn how Big Data and Artificial Intelligence is used in financial services.
