This course imparts fundamental knowledge about renewable energy generation, storage and conversion technologies. The course is divided into the following subject areas.

  1. Introduction into energy conversion and storage technologies – tasks and issues
  2. Technologies for effective energy

  3. Concepts for a sustainable energy supply 
Qualification objectives

Converting from a fossil fuel-based energy supply to regenerative energies requires an economical use of energy, minimizing energy losses and developing new energy storage concepts. The module enables students to evaluate concepts for effective energy conversion and storage.
