Handling of study-orientated topics for the development of receptive and productive proficiency for the adequate accomplishment in communication situations in studying/whilst qualifying
Development and proficiency of relevant lexical and grammatical structures of German academic language based on up-to-date topics, chosen from various specialised texts respectively (from the areas of science, economics and corporate communication)
Training competency for presentations and discussions in business contexts
Linguistic and cultural preparation for working in enterprises/professional practice
Project work on a self-chosen topic and presentation/debate about this project
Preparation for the WiDaF test (German in economics)

Qualifikationsziele

Proficiency in adequate foreign language communication (in German) at level C1 in business and work-related situations, with a focus on communication in science and society
Comprehension and production of typical written and oral texts/genres
Proficiency in independent academic work through the evaluation of German speaking technical literature and in the production of specialised academic texts (e.g. abstracts, presentations, dossiers and seminar research work)

Command of strategies for independent development of academic and professional German language skills
