Qualifikationsziele

The purpose of the course is to provide basic knowledge in approaches to autonomous driving. The course gives an introduction to the different settings and flavours of autonomous driving. Students also get an introduction to robotics. Furthermore, the course will help the student to gain insights in the underlying theories on the algorithms on which the autonomous movement of vehicles are based on.

 

After attending the course, students shall be able to:

  • understand the fundamentals of computer networks, such as architectures, protocols, and applications;
  • know the specifics of mobile computing (ad-hoc mesh networks);
  • have a fundamental understanding of the nature of car-to-car communication and its challenges;
  • understand the basics of network security in generals and security aspects of car-to-car communication networks in particular; and
  • be familiar with car-to-car communication standards.
