Qualifikationsziele

Introduction to digital transformation

The students are introduced to the subject of digital transformations. They recognize the importance of changes for social transformations. By reference to the architecture of digital systems, the general similarities, differences and interfaces of the profile lines from economic, technical and organisational point of view will be taught in particular taking into account the modern transport systems and equipment. Based on the guiding principles of digital transformations target groups and systems are derived. Using case studies, the students are familiarised with the latest application developments and have to develop their own viewpoints. They develop an understanding of the complexity and relevance of the subject in its wholeness and generate special references to specific application areas. The current state of knowledge on digital transformation will be imparted to the students and put into the context of future developments. Students generate their own expertise by processing its own studies in the application area. Different point of view of future opportunities and risks of digital transformations will be discussed together. The reference to tangential developments such as the cyber-physical systems will be made.

Digitial Future of Finance

Students are introduced to the most recent developments in the areas of Digital Finance and Sustainable Finance. Digital Finance refers to the impact of new technologies on finance functions and finance activities and resulting new forms of financing. Students will learn about the functioning and application areas of electronic securities, coins and tokens, inter alia, as well as the underlying regulatory framework in Germany.

In the area of Sustainable Finance, students are familiarised with the need and the framework for Sustainable Finance, with a specific focus on the European framework. This includes the conditions and legal requirements for the issuance of „green“ financing, as well as the management of sustainability risks, certification and sustainability ratings and CSR-reporting.
