- Current issues in computer science and information management - Organizations and their communication processes - Intercultural communication at work: case studies, critical incidents - Practicing oral and written academic and technical genres (adapted to students’ needs) - Fundamentals of software localization and review strategies of technical documents (e.g. data sheets, business plans, brochures) - Effective presentation techniques - Fundamentals of project management

Qualification objectives

- Effiziente Kommunikation (Sprachniveau B2/C1, vgl. CEFR) in akademischen, berufs –und projektorientierten Kommunikationssituationen des Fachgebietes - Ausbildung sozialer und interkultureller Kompetenz für die unternehmensinterne und -externe Kommunikation und Projektarbeit - Effektiver Umgang mit akademischen, technischen sowie wirtschaftsbezogenen Textsorten - Befähigung zur mündlichen und schriftlichen Kommunikation (Präsentation, Verhandlung) von fachgebietsrelevanten Themen (z.B. in Vorbereitung auf Praktikum/ Abschlussarbeit)
