Study-oriented topics for the development of receptive and productive English language skills
Proficiency in the use of relevant lexical and grammatical structures of everyday, academic and professional Englishlanguage based upon up-to-date topics, chosen from various specialised texts (e.g. international hotel and tourist business, economics and corporate communication), such as the following:

Working in the hotel and catering industry (applications/interviews, professional situations, international business etiquette)

-The hotel industry worldwide (organisational structures, management, marketing etc.),
-Event and case management, catering, customer service,
-Management of tourists and visitors,
-Travel arrangements,
-Cultural dimensions

Presentations, discussions, telephoning, emailing, negotiating
Project work on a self-chosen topic and presentation/debate on this project

Qualification objectives

Proficiency (according to CEFR levels) in English language communication in tourism/catering industry
Comprehension and production of typical written and oral texts for people engaged in the tourism/catering industry
Skills in project management and presentation of subject-specific topics
Intermediate/post-intermediate skills in academic, business and professional communication, Proficiency in independent academic work
