Instruction content/structure

The module focuses on the following topics:

  • Theoretical Foundations of corporate management in a national and international context
  • Leadership for international/intercultural teams
  • Drivers and challenges of responsible management approaches, both locally and internationally
  • Identification and framing of business problems, development of alternative solutions
  • Linkages between corporate social responsibility and corporate governance

Understanding of potential tensions between shareholder value creation and stakeholder value creation.

Qualification objectives

The aim of this module is to introduce key concepts and theories of management and leadership in the context of a globally connected world and to illustrate their possible applications.

An understanding of responsible approaches to management activities such as leadership, strategy development and decision making will be demonstrated. In addition, an understanding of management challenges associated with the development of national and international strategies and new business models in a digitally world is conveyed.
