Qualification objectives

The purpose of this course is to enhance students’ knowledge of strategic management in order to develop effective strategic leadership skills. Specifically, to integratethe different functional areas of business (e.g. accounting, finance, human resources, information systems, marketing, operations management,etc.) into an interconnected whole.The challenge is not only in identifying weaknesses and threats facing firms, but to appreciate the strengths of the firm and anticipate opportunities in the external environment.

Students will enhance their strategic thinking skills and develop project-based efficiency skills in management. Collaborative principles and partnership methods will be applied for strategic decision-making processes. Special attention will be given to the internationalization processes through strategic solutions, as well as technology driven projects on the subnational levels.

Completing this subject, students will be able to design, manage and monitor strategic projects, analyze international and subnational components of administration. Furthermore, students will be able to define strategic goals, plans and measure their success.
