Instruction content/structure

The students will independently choose a scientific research topic from Management and Computer Science and related areas. In groups and with the guidance of the lecturer, they will prepare a scientific seminar and presentation for an audience. A particular focus is creating a scientific seminar/symposium with school classes. The students must organize the collaboration, time, and place with the schools. They will be supported by the “School laboratory/Schülerlabor” of WHZ. Furthermore, the students will discuss the scientific topics critically with the audience and give feedback to the lecturer regarding their experience.

Qualification objectives

The lecture aims to further train students in the field of scientific presentations. Moreover, students will be trained to hold scientific presentations in Management and Computer Science related subjects. They will be able to elaborate on their topic critically and present it to different academic audiences. A particular focus lies on the target-oriented preparation and presentation of the scientific content. Furthermore, the students will design seminars for different audiences, especially school classes. In addition, their social skills will be trained and generate a meaningful benefit for the regional school community. The practical realization can be done in cooperation with the “School laboratory/Schülerlabor” of WHZ or in collaboration with regional schools.
